Planning an event with live-fire catering? Here are answers to the questions we're asked most often. From how our service works to dietary requirements and booking timelines, we've covered the essentials. Can't find what you're looking for? Contact us—we're always happy to talk through the details.

  • We're based in Victoria and regularly cater events across regional Victoria and Melbourne. For venues outside our usual service area, we're more than happy to travel—just let us know your location and we'll confirm availability and provide a full quote, including any applicable travel costs.

  • We handle everything fire and food-related, so you can focus on enjoying your event. Our full-service offering includes:

    • Bespoke menu planning designed around your event

    • All cooking equipment, fire pits, and fuel

    • Complete setup, cooking, and service

    • Our team on-site from start to finish, managing every detail

    • Full pack-down and cleanup of our cooking area

We collaborate seamlessly with your planner or venue on additional elements like tables, chairs, and tableware.

  • We recommend booking as early as possible, particularly for weddings and peak-season events. Most clients secure their date 6-12 months in advance. However, if your event is approaching sooner, please don't hesitate to reach out—if we have availability, we'll do our best to make it work.

  • Absolutely. We regularly accommodate dietary requirements including vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, and specific allergen needs. Simply provide us with your guests' requirements during the planning process, and we'll tailor the menu and service accordingly. Please note that we work with shared cooking equipment, but we take great care to minimise cross-contamination and handle all dietary needs thoughtfully.

  • We cater for a minimum of 40 guests and can accommodate up to 400 guests depending on the style of service and menu selected.

  • We’ll need a safe, open area for our fire setup, access for our vehicle to bump in and out, and a plan for where guests will be served. Power and water access are helpful but not always essential, we can talk through the details once we know your venue.

  • Our service style is designed to be relaxed, engaging, and flexible to suit your event.

    • Entrées are served by our team as roaming canapés, circulating throughout your guests.

    • Mains can be presented in your preferred style:

      • Grazing-style, where guests serve themselves from a styled central display, or

      • Communal dining, with sharing platters placed at each table for a more intimate experience.

All food is served on eco-friendly, single-use bamboo platters and bowls. Please note that we do not supply dining ware such as plates, bowls, or cutlery—these will need to be arranged through your venue or a hire supplier.
